Actress Gal Gadot has expressed her view on feminism as the latest Global Brand Ambassador for Revlon. During the media day press interview in New York City, the 32-year old Wonder Woman star shared that anything that makes a woman feel more confident, beautiful and better about herself has to do with feminism.
Gal explained that there is a widespread misconception about the meaning of feminism. She shared that some of her friends who have successful careers and are also mothers hesitate to identify themselves as feminists.
Gal emphasized that feminism is not centered around hatred towards men or any violent actions such as burning bras or fighting. Rather, it is a movement that advocates for equality and freedom of choice. Gal believes that everyone should be a feminist and anyone who is not, is a sexist. She proudly identifies herself as a feminist and has a deep appreciation for women. With recent events in Hollywood, Gal feels that there is a positive momentum towards change and progress for women. She believes that this cultural shift is necessary and important.
